Mukesh Anil Sonawane, hailing from Borvile Taluk, Dhule, Maharashtra, embodies the spirit of determination and agility on the kabaddi court. Born on June 15, 2003, Mukesh's journey in the sport commenced at the age of 15, driven by his passion for kabaddi. Growing up in a supportive family environment, with his father, Anil, working in a company, and his mother, Sunanda, a homemaker, Mukesh found solace and encouragement to pursue his dreams alongside his elder brother, Parkash, and elder sister, Ashwini. As a Left Raider, Mukesh possesses an innate ability to execute precise hand touches, making him a formidable opponent on the kabaddi mat. Under the tutelage of his coaches, Shinde Sir and Ajay Jalte, at the Shivneri Kridamandal, Mukesh hones his skills, drawing inspiration from kabaddi stalwart Pawan Sehrawat. Admiring Sehrawat's incredible jumping abilities showcased in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Mukesh aspires to emulate his idol's prowess. While kabaddi remains Mukesh's primary focus, he also values his education, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Arts. His career highlights include representing his state in the 2021 Parbani State Championship and participating in the Vidyapeeth tournament in 2024. Additionally, Mukesh finds joy in competing in district games, relishing the opportunity to showcase his talent on a larger stage. Looking ahead, Mukesh harbors aspirations of serving his country by joining the Indian Army, a testament to his unwavering patriotism and commitment to contributing to the nation's defense forces.
