Sanchit Sunil Shinde, born on January 9, 2004, in Shirur, Pune District, Maharashtra, currently resides in the same district. He comes from a humble background, with his father Sunil working as a farmer and his mother Kamal managing their household. Sanchit is the middle child, with an elder sister, Sandhya, and a younger sister, Payal. Sanchit's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 14, inspired by the lively atmosphere of kabaddi matches in his community. Starting as a spectator, he quickly developed a passion for the sport, particularly drawn to the artistry of the Right Raider position. Known for his swift and precise hand touches, Sanchit has honed his skills under the guidance of coach Ravindra Gadhe at the Azad Krida Mandal in Taklibhan. His admiration for fellow kabaddi player Akash Shinde stems from Shinde's exceptional hand touch technique and overall prowess on the mat. Sanchit's talent has earned him recognition, notably securing the third position in the Junior State championship held in Thane in 2023. Beyond kabaddi, Sanchit finds joy in cricket, another sport close to his heart. Currently pursuing his first year of Bachelor of Arts, he harbors ambitions of competing in the Pro Kabaddi League, representing his state at the Senior State level, and ultimately donning the national colors in kabaddi. With determination and dedication, Sanchit aspires to carve out a successful career in the sport he loves.
