Atul Rathod

Atul Ashok Rathod, born on April 2, 2005, in Kargaon, Maharashtra, is a promising kabaddi player hailing from the vibrant city of Nashik. With a passion for kabaddi ignited at a young age, Atul began his journey in the sport while attending school, marking the beginning of his pursuit as a Right Corner Defender. Guided by his father Ashok Rathod, who is dedicated to the craft of painting, and supported by his mother Vatsalabai Ashok Rathod, a nurturing homemaker, Atul found inspiration and encouragement within his family. Together with his two younger brothers, Mithun Ashok Rathod and Shubham Ashok Rathod, both of whom share his love for kabaddi, Atul engages in rigorous practice sessions, honing their skills as a cohesive unit. Under the mentorship of coach Akash Ingale at the NTPS Sports Club in Nashik, Atul has refined his technique, with a particular proficiency in the Ankle Hold maneuver. Inspired by the renowned player Akash Shinde, Atul admires Shinde's skillful kicks on the kabaddi court, drawing motivation from his exemplary performances. In addition to kabaddi, Atul enjoys playing cricket, showcasing his versatility in the realm of sports. Pursuing his education up to 12th standard in the Arts stream, Atul has already made significant strides in his kabaddi career, earning recognition as the best defender in local matches. Looking ahead, Atul harbors aspirations of serving his community as a police officer, embodying principles of discipline and integrity both on and off the kabaddi mat. With his steadfast determination and unwavering commitment, Atul Rathod is poised to make a lasting impact in the world of sports and beyond.
