Onkar Subhash Gade, born on April 9, 2002, in Baramati, Maharashtra, hails from a family deeply rooted in education. Both his father, Subhash Gade, and mother, Vanita Subhash Gade, serve as teachers. Onkar is the youngest among his siblings, with two elder sisters, Pradnya and Gauri. Beginning his kabaddi journey at the age of 14, Onkar swiftly established himself as a versatile All Rounder, adept at manoeuvring both as a Left Raider and a Left Corner Defender. His proficiency lies in executing precise Toe Touch manoeuvres, a skill honed under the guidance of Coach Dada Awad at the Baramati Sports Academy. Onkar's admiration for kabaddi luminary Kashiling Adke stems from Adke's mastery of bonus points and overall skill set, traits that Onkar seeks to emulate in his own game. Despite his dedication to kabaddi, Onkar maintains a keen interest in cricket and actively participates in the sport. Currently pursuing his third year of Bachelor of Arts, Onkar aspires to represent India on the kabaddi mat, fueled by his ambition to compete at the highest level and bring honor to his country. Among his notable career highlights is his Gold medal win at the Under 17 School State championship, a testament to his skill and determination on the kabaddi court. With his sights set on donning the Indian jersey, Onkar remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence, driven by his passion for the sport and his unwavering determination to succeed.
