Tushar Dashrath Khadke, born on December 28, 2001, in Atyal, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, found his passion for kabaddi at a young age. Despite growing up in a village where kho-kho was prominent, Tushar was drawn to kabaddi after witnessing its popularity in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Motivated by the success stories he saw, Tushar decided to pursue kabaddi professionally. Starting as a right raider, Tushar's signature move is the running hand touch, which he executes with precision and agility. Under the guidance of coach Shailendra Raut at the Jai Matrubhoomi Kabaddi Club in Sangli, Tushar hones his skills and aims to emulate his favorite player, Anup Kumar. He admires Anup's bonus skill and calm demeanor on the mat. Despite facing challenges due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Tushar remains dedicated to his craft, returning to Sangli to continue his training. His dedication bore fruit during the 2024 district selection trial match, where he represented the Jai Matrubhoomi Kabaddi Club. With a stellar performance, scoring 12-13 crucial points, Tushar's team emerged victorious against Islampur Vyayam Mandal Islampur. Currently pursuing a BA degree in his first year, Tushar harbors ambitions of ascending to greater heights in kabaddi, with aspirations to compete in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).
