Born on November 21, 2004, in the beautiful city of Jammu, Akash Sharma's journey into the dynamic world of kabaddi began at just 15 years old. Growing up in a nurturing household, his father, Gheri Lal, serves as a Subaidar in the Indian Army, instilling values of discipline and commitment in their home. His mother, Mamta Rani, balances family life with grace, while his younger brother, Aryan Sharma, supports him unwaveringly, even if he's not in the kabaddi arena. Residing in Jammu and Kashmir, Akash trains hard at the MM Stadium, where he is guided by his coach and friend, Wasim. As a right raider, he possesses a special talent for the toe touch move, inspired by his favorite player, Pardeep Narwal, whose signature dubki captivates him. Participating in the YKS Monsoon Edition 2023 with the Tadoba Tigers was a pivotal moment for him, shining a light on his rising potential. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Akash juggles his studies alongside his passion for kabaddi. With the Junior National competition on his horizon in 2024, he dreams of one day stepping onto the big stage of the Pro Kabaddi League. Akash's dedication and enthusiasm make him a promising talent to watch in the years ahead.
