Pravin Kumar Iyyanar

Pravinkumar I, born on September 22, 2004, in the picturesque town of Pondicherry, has been surrounded by the rhythmic energy of kabaddi since he was a young boy. Raised in a loving family led by his father Iyyanar, a businessman, and his mother Sheela, a devoted homemaker, Pravinkumar is the proud big brother to his younger sibling, Vendhan. At the tender age of twelve, Pravinkumar discovered his passion for kabaddi, inspired by watching seasoned players showcase their talents. Under the watchful eye of his childhood coach Kalaiselvan, he began training at the Sports Authority of India in Pondicherry. As a Right Cover Defender, he has developed a particular fondness for the Thigh Hold and Dash techniques, drawing inspiration from his favorite player, Sunil Kumar. With impressive participation in the Monsoon and Summer editions of 2023 with Chola Veerans at the Yuva Kabaddi Series and upcoming endeavors in the Junior Nationals, Pravinkumar is carving out a path filled with potential. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, he is ambitiously dreaming of a future in the Pro Kabaddi League. His determination and love for the game drive him to make his mark in the kabaddi arena.
