Navneet Nagar

Born on April 2, 2001, in Chachula, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, Navneet’s journey into kabaddi started in an inspiring way. Growing up, he watched the seniors in his village take part in tournaments, and their success at the Nationals sparked a fire within him. At just 15 years old, he decided to follow in their footsteps and embrace the sport with both heart and soul. Navneet trains under the guidance of Jitendar Nagar and Yogesh Nagar at JD Academy, and he has developed into a formidable Left Corner Defender. His favorite skill, the ankle hold, is one he admires from his favorite player, Surinder Nada, who embodies the pinnacle of what it means to represent the country. While he has participated in various competitions like the Sub Junior Nationals in Hyderabad and Junior Nationals in Telangana, Navneet's standout moment came during the YKS Winter Edition in 2022 when he received a high five after stepping in as a substitute. Though he hasn’t worked yet and is currently focused on his kabaddi journey and education until the 12th standard, his eyes are set on one ultimate aspiration: to don the Indian jersey and represent his country on the international stage, making his family proud.
