Akshay, a vibrant young talent born on July 16, 2004, hails from the picturesque village of Ahri in Haryana. His love for kabaddi ignited at just 12 years old, inspired by the dynamic players he watched in his village. Growing up in a supportive family, Akshay has always found encouragement from his father, Rajender, a dedicated farmer, and his mother, Minna Devi, who skillfully manages their home. With his younger brother Arpit by his side, Akshay's familial bonds have fortified his journey into the sport. As a Right Raider, Akshay shines with his exceptional hand touch, thrilling the audience with his favorite move: the jump. His coach, Ravinder Nada, serves as both a mentor and a role model. Akshay admires Ravinder not only for his skill but also for his unique wrist hold technique, which is a rarity in kabaddi and has greatly influenced Akshay's training. Despite facing challenges, like a shoulder injury that required surgery in 2022, Akshay's determination never wavered. Proud of his experience competing in school nationals, he dreams of one day representing the Pro Kabaddi League. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Akshay seamlessly balances academics and his passion for kabaddi, ready to embrace whatever comes next in his sporting career.
