Born on September 25, 2002, in the peaceful town of Gangavaram, Andhra Pradesh, Nolli Theja grew up immersed in sports. Coming from a nurturing family, his father, Nollikanakarao, works at the Vizag steel plant, while his mother, Satyavathi, dedicates her time to being a homemaker. With the unwavering support of his elder sister Komali, who cheers him on from the sidelines despite not playing kabaddi herself, Nolli cultivated his passion for the game within a warm environment. Nolli’s love for kabaddi ignited at just 10 years old, inspired by the thrilling skills of his idol, Rohit Kumar. He was especially drawn to moves like the running hand touch and dynamic jumps. Under the expert guidance of Coach Sreekanth at SKY Academy in Vijayawada, he embraced his journey as a right raider, developing his talents and proving himself on a bigger stage. His remarkable performances at the Junior Nationals in 2018 and the Senior Nationals in 2022 have left a mark and showcased his dedication. While pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Nolli dreams of competing in the Pro Kabaddi League and ultimately representing India on international grounds. With his fierce determination and the encouragement from loved ones, he is ready to chase his dreams, one jump at a time.
