Kalturi Manohar, born on February 8, 2004, in the lively town of Vadlamuru, Andhra Pradesh, has always been captivated by the sport of kabaddi. Growing up in a nurturing family with his father, K Veerraju, a hardworking farmer, and his mother, K Kumari, who expertly managed the home, he found the love and encouragement to chase his dreams. His elder brother, K Jaya Sai Raghuvamsai, might not have pursued kabaddi, but he has been a constant source of inspiration for Manohar. Starting his journey in kabaddi at the age of 16, Manohar quickly discovered his talent, particularly excelling in the thigh hold—a skill that has become his hallmark. With the mentorship of his childhood coach, B Murali Kumar, he trained at the SBSR club, transforming into a formidable Left Cover Defender. Looking ahead, Manohar is preparing to make his mark in the Junior Nationals scheduled for 2024, fueled by aspirations to join the Pro Kabaddi League. He juggles his athletic ambitions with studies in Computer Science Engineering, where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Inspired by his favorite player, Ajay Thakur, and his signature running hand touch, Kalturi Manohar dreams of one day shining bright in the kabaddi arena, driven by the spirit of determination and passion.
