Born on June 16, 2000, Tholem Balakrishna hails from the vibrant town of Manuguru in Telangana. Growing up in a farming family, where both his father, Buchaiah, and mother, Gauramma, toil hard on their land, he quickly learned the values of grit and perseverance. Tholem shares a deep bond with his elder sister, Eswari, who has always been his pillar of support throughout this journey. At just 14, Tholem discovered his passion for kabaddi and quickly carved out a role for himself as an all-rounder, focusing on right raiding. His inspiration comes from his favorite player, Devank, who he admires for his impressive skills and stature. Tholem particularly enjoys perfecting the toe touch move, which has become his signature skill. His training takes place at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Khammam, where he works diligently under the guidance of Coach Swati. Though his journey has had its challenges, with no medals earned in the Junior National Championship in 2017 and Senior Nationals in 2019 and 2021, his resolve remains unshaken. Tholem aspires to leave a significant mark in Indian kabaddi, and with his unwavering dedication, the future looks bright for this talented athlete.
