In the lively neighborhood of Dharampura, Gandhi Nagar, a young kabaddi talent named Vinod is making waves in the sport. Born on August 20, 2004, in Delhi NCR, Vinod comes from a supportive family, with his father Raaj Pal running a business and his mother Vimala Devi managing the home. Growing up with two elder brothers, Bablu and Prem Kumar, and two younger siblings, Bupender and Bittu, the atmosphere at home is always filled with encouragement. His elder brother Prem shares Vinod's passion for kabaddi, which has greatly influenced his journey. Vinod's adventure in kabaddi began at the age of 14 when senior players inspired him to dive into the sport. He trains at the Palam Kabaddi Academy under the guidance of coach S.K. Kaushik, where he has become a skilled Right Corner Defender. His signature move, the thigh hold, showcases both his technique and strength. Vinod’s hard work has already paid off, earning him a gold medal at the Senior State Championships in 2024 and a bronze medal at the Junior State event in Dwarka. Looking ahead, Vinod dreams of securing a job with the Indian Railways. Inspired by the agility of his favorite player, Pawan Sehrawat, he remains committed to honing his skills and achieving greater heights in kabaddi.
