Gurmeet Dalal, born on August 15, 2003, in the serene village of Gong, Kaithi, Haryana, has a heartwarming story that many can relate to. Growing up in a farming family, with his father, the late Sharawar Dalal, laboring in the fields and his mother, Savitri Devi, gracefully managing the household, Gurmeet discovered his passion for kabaddi at a tender age. Inspired by the lively matches he watched in his village, he jumped into the sport when he was just ten years old. Training under the guidance of Coach Manoj Dalal, who has been with him since childhood, Gurmeet has honed his skills and now shines as a Right Cover Defender. His remarkable Dash skill sets him apart on the field, and the encouragement from his elder brother, Pradeep, who is also a kabaddi player, has been invaluable in his journey. Adding to this supportive environment is his bond with sister Sonia, ensuring that Gurmeet always has a cheering squad. His commitment paid off recently when he earned a bronze medal at the Junior Nationals in Chandigarh. Now, as he pursues his Bachelor's in the First Year, he dreams of donning the Indian jersey. With unwavering determination, Gurmeet is on a path to making his mark in kabaddi, with aspirations of representing his country on an international stage.
