Gurpreet Singh was born on February 19, 2002, in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Growing up in a supportive family, with his father Kulwindar Singh and mother Gurmeet Kaur, he found his passion for kabaddi at the age of 16, inspired by watching his peers play at school. Living in Tassimbli now, Gurpreet has embraced kabaddi as a way of life, honing his skills daily at Sarkari High School with coach Ranjeet Singh by his side. Playing as a Left Corner Defender, Gurpreet has developed commendable techniques, especially in thigh holds and chain tackles. His favorite player, Jaydeep, has influenced his style and skills, driving him to aspire for greatness on the kabaddi field. Despite being a newcomer, Gurpreet has already made his mark at various levels, participating in the Under 17 and Under 19 School Games, as well as the Junior National event in Punjab. One of his proudest moments came during a tightly contested local tournament, where his defense skills helped secure victory in the final raid. With dreams of playing in the Professional Kabaddi League, Gurpreet is dedicated to improving his game and making his family proud. Alongside kabaddi, he enjoys cricket and is eager to see where his journey will take him next.
