Balraj Singh was born on August 26, 2005, in the bustling town of Khanna, located in the Ludhiana District of Punjab. Growing up in Fatehgarh, he found inspiration in his father's dedication as a CRPF officer. Though his beloved mother, Charajeet Kaur, has passed away, her memory drives his relentless pursuit of success. With an elder sister cheering him on, Balraj embarks on his journey in the vibrant world of kabaddi. His passion for the sport ignited at the age of 16, thanks to Coach Manga Singh, who saw potential in him and encouraged him to dive into kabaddi. Under Coach Manga's guidance, Balraj has blossomed as a Left Raider, showcasing his impressive hand touch skills that set him apart on the mat. The last four years have been transformative for him, filled with hard work and hours of practice at Banda Singh Bahadur College’s indoor stadium. Currently in his second year of a Bachelor of Arts program, Balraj skillfully juggles academics with training. His dreams are as ambitious as his drive—he aims to play in the Pro Kabaddi League, having already made waves by winning the State Championship and reaching the quarter-finals at the Junior Nationals. Inspired by his favorite player, Maninder Singh, Balraj is determined to make his own mark on the sport, fueled by passion and a vision for the future.
