Anshu Kumar, born on December 16, 2006, in the bustling Bokaro Steel City of Jharkhand, is a passionate kabaddi player with dreams as big as his talent. Growing up in a supportive family, Anshu is the youngest of three sons, with his father, Ashoka Kumar Singh, serving in the CISF, and his mother, Bindu Devi, managing the home front. Watching kids play kabaddi at school ignited a spark in him when he was just 14, and he quickly knew this was the sport he wanted to pursue. Under the guidance of his coach, Dinesh Kharab, at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Rhotak, Haryana, Anshu has honed his skills to become a formidable all-rounder. His favorite moves in the game are the jump and kick, and he draws inspiration from his idol, Naveen Kumar, particularly admiring his deft dodging techniques. Anshu’s determination paid off when he secured the second position at the state level in both junior and senior categories. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, he dreams of donning the national colors and representing India in kabaddi someday. With each match, Anshu is not just playing a game; he’s building a future filled with possibilities.
