Rajan Singh Manhas, born on July 22, 2001, in the serene surroundings of Jammu, has always had a passion for sports. Growing up in a close-knit family, with his father, Babu Singh, running a business and his mother, Gulshan Kumari, managing their home, Rajan found support in his elder sister, Vishali Rajput, although she didn't share his love for kabaddi. Rajan's journey into the world of kabaddi started at the age of sixteen. Initially motivated to lose weight, he was encouraged by his coach to give kabaddi a shot. What began as a personal fitness challenge quickly transformed into a dedicated pursuit. Under the guidance of coach Anil Kumar, he honed his skills, especially his favorite move—the dive—at the MA Stadium in Jammu. His hard work paid off when he participated in various national tournaments like the 46th and 47th Junior Nationals and the Senior Nationals in Jammu. The highlight of his early career came when he learned that his name was included in the Pro Kabaddi League auction, a dream come true. Inspired by his idol, Ajay Thakur, Rajan aspires to compete in the Asian Games and make a mark in the PKL while continuing to enjoy cricket in his free time.
