Pradip Bhoi, born on April 8, 2005, in the serene Bargaon Village of Balangir District, Odisha, has always had a spark for Kabaddi. Growing up in a small family where his father, Mukunda Bhoi, worked as a farmer, and his mother, Pera Bhoi, served as a government employee at an Anganwadi, Pradip learned the value of hard work from an early age. His journey into the realm of Kabaddi began when he was just 10 years old. Inspired by his friends playing the sport, he dived right in and honed his skills over the next few years. It was during a school tournament that his talent truly shone. With encouragement from senior players, he realized that he had a knack for the game, especially in raiding. Under the guidance of Coach Ajay Kumar Raut, he practices diligently at the Sports ground at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, where he currently resides. As an all-rounder, Pradip has made waves with his unique jumping skills, and his favourite moment remains an exhilarating last raid at a tournament in Jajpur, where he leaped over the chain to secure victory for his team. With the ambition to grow further in kabaddi, he dreams of competing at higher levels, inspired by players like Aslam Inamdar. Now in his second year of a Bachelor of Arts program, Pradip juggles education while passionately pursuing his kabaddi career, ready to leap into the future.
