Ramasundar, born on January 15, 2000, hails from Krishnapuram, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. Growing up in a humble household, his father, Selvam, works as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Reena, manages their home. Ramasundar has a younger sister named Thamarai Lakshmi. His journey into Kabaddi commenced at the age of 12, inspired by watching his friends engage in the sport. Joining his school team initially, he later became a part of the local club, Sivanthi in Thamarai, after completing his 10th grade. Right from the start, Ramasundar showcased a knack for defense, excelling primarily as a Right Corner Defender. His mastery over chain tackles and thigh holds set him apart on the field. Under the guidance of his first coach, Balachandar, Ramasundar honed his skills and progressed rapidly. Additionally, he drew inspiration from his senior club mate, Vanniya Rajan, whose exceptional defensive prowess motivated him to elevate his game further. Ramasundar's dedication to Kabaddi has seen him represent various platforms including Sub junior nationals, School Games Federation of India (SGFI), and South Zone University competitions. Noteworthy achievements adorn his career, including district championships as the best defender, triumphs in junior state championships, and a bronze medal in the school state championship. Currently pursuing his MBA, Ramasundar aspires to grace the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League, viewing it as the pinnacle of Kabaddi excellence worldwide. His ultimate dream remains to compete at the Senior Nationals, a testament to his unwavering commitment and passion for the sport.
