Naveen Raj, born on June 19, 2002, hails from central Chennai, Tamil Nadu, but currently resides in Tirupur due to his father's job. His father, Rajaram, is involved in the water can business, while his mother, Selvi, is a housewife. Naveen has an elder brother named Gokul Raj, although neither of them plays Kabaddi. Naveen discovered his passion for Kabaddi at the age of 12 and quickly established himself as a versatile player, excelling as both a Right Raider and a Left Corner Defender. His best skill on the mat is his ability to execute powerful jumps, a trait he admires in his favorite player, Pavan Sharawat from the Telugu Titans. Under the guidance of his coach, Govindraj, who coaches at Karpagam University in Coimbatore, Naveen hones his skills at the Karpagam University College Ground. His dedication and hard work have earned him representation in various tournaments. He has represented Dolphin Tirupur district team, where they emerged as winners. Additionally, he has represented Jayachitra Club in Tirupur and participated in the state tournament representing Karpagam University, where they secured the 2nd runner-up position. Apart from Kabaddi, Naveen enjoys playing cricket, although he considers himself an average player in the sport. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, which he expects to complete in 2025. Naveen's career highlights include overturning the result of a match with a last-minute raid, leading his team to victory. He aspires to secure a government job in the future, leveraging his skills and experiences from Kabaddi to succeed in life.
