S. Ezhumalai

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Sivagangai Warriors, we have Ezhumalai S. Born on December 31, 2005, in Kodaipatti, Theni District, Tamil Nadu, Ezhumalai currently resides in the same location. His father, T Sivanmoorthy, and mother, S Kaladevi, are farmers. He has two siblings: an elder brother named Azhagumalai and a younger brother named Thirumalai. Although his siblings don't play kabaddi, Ezhumalai has been involved in the sport since the age of 10. Ezhumalai plays as a Left Corner Defender and excels in the Ankle Hold technique. His coach is Rajesh, who coaches at Velammal School Kabaddi. Ezhumalai practices at SAI NCOE Gandhinagar. His favorite kabaddi player is Ajay Thakur, appreciated for his raiding skills. Ezhumalai admires Thakur's raiding prowess, especially considering Ezhumalai used to be a raider himself. Ezhumalai has represented Tamil Nadu in various prestigious tournaments: - Khelo India Youth Games 2023: Won a Bronze medal as part of the Tamil Nadu Team. - YKS Summer 2023: Played for the Nilgiri Knights. - South Zone University 2022 & 2023: Represented Madras University. Apart from kabaddi, Ezhumalai enjoys playing volleyball. He is pursuing a BA in English and aims to participate in upcoming Junior Nationals and the Pro Kabaddi League. His long-term aspiration includes playing for the Indian Services team and securing a job in the Navy or Air Force. His career highlights include winning a Bronze medal in the Khelo India Youth Games.
