In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing PRIST University, we have Mari Selva. He was born on May 25, 2000, in Alwar Thirunagari, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. Mari Selva's father, Murugan, works as a farmer managing the tractor, while his mother, Kati Thangam, is a homemaker. He has three elder brothers named Muthuram (who unfortunately passed away in a bike accident in 2021), Mahesh, and Chandru, all of whom play kabaddi. Mari Selva started playing kabaddi at the age of 18 and specializes in the position of Left Corner Defender, with his best skill being the bonus point. He is coached by Arumuga Raj, a former player, who has taught him how to score bonus points effectively in every game. His practice sessions take place in Athinathapuram, Tuticorin. Mari Selva admires Pasupathi as his favorite player due to his bonus skill and release movement. He values Pasupathi not only as a player but also as a friend who guides and teaches him whenever they interact. Mari Selva has represented his university in various tournaments including the South Zone Inter University and Junior State tournaments. His favorite skills in kabaddi are the jump and dubki, and he eagerly awaits the opportunity to showcase them in the upcoming event. Apart from kabaddi, Mari Selva enjoys playing volleyball and actively participates in other sports. He is currently pursuing a college graduation degree in BA English. His career highlights include participating in the South Zone Inter University tournament and YKS events. Mari Selva's future aspiration is to join the police force and represent the police team in kabaddi. He expresses gratitude to the person who introduced him to the sport of kabaddi, which has become an integral part of his life.
