Sanjay Babu was born on March 17, 2002, in Budhaloor, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Babu, has passed away, and his mother, Mala, works as a farmer. Sanjay has an elder brother named Ajay, who also shares his passion for Kabaddi and plays for their home club named MR & BR Sports Club in Budhaloor. Sanjay discovered his love for Kabaddi at the age of 12, and he quickly established himself as a talented Right Raider. His best skills include jumping and executing running hand touches on the mat. Under the guidance of his elder brother, Prakash, who plays for the MR & BR home team, Sanjay hones his skills at various practice locations, including the Boys Government School Ground in Budhaloor and the Annai Theresa Club Srinivasa School Ground in Thiruvaiyaar. Inspired by players like Chandran Ranjith from the Haryana Steelers, Sanjay admires all the skills of his favorite player and aspires to emulate them on the Kabaddi field.
