Balamurugan Manikadan

Balamurugan M, born on June 28, 2004, in Anbil, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, is a promising kabaddi player representing the Jayachitra Club in the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament. His father, R. Manikandan, works as a farmer, while his mother, M. Lata, is a housewife. Balamurugan has an elder sister named Divya. At the age of 15, Balamurugan developed an interest in kabaddi after watching seniors play in his village. Excelling as a Right Corner Defender, his best skill is the Chain Tackle. He receives coaching from Pardeep Kamal and practices at the Kangayam Group of Institutions in Tiruppur. Dharmaraj Cheralathan is Balamurugan's favorite player, admired for his chain tackle technique. In 2024, Balamurugan clinched the first place in the Junior State Championship held in Chengalpattu. Alongside kabaddi, he also enjoys playing volleyball. Currently pursuing his second year of B.Com, Balamurugan's career highlights include a standout performance against Bank of Baroda while representing his college team, despite their loss. With aspirations to play in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Balamurugan aims to continue honing his skills and making significant contributions to the sport.
