Dinesh Vijaiyan

Dinesh, born on April 6, 2007, hails from Kalendira, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. His father, Vijayan, works as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Sowndari, manages their home. Dinesh has two younger brothers, Monish and Giri. At the age of 15, Dinesh began his Kabaddi journey as a Right Cover Defender, showcasing a remarkable talent for chain tackles. Under the guidance of coach Madhan, an esteemed athlete, he refines his skills at the PK Sports Ground and his school ground. Dinesh looks up to Abinesh Natarajan, aspiring to emulate his style of play on the Kabaddi mat. Apart from Kabaddi, Dinesh enjoys playing volleyball, demonstrating his versatility in sports. Though his representations are limited to school district-level competitions, Dinesh considers his achievement of overturning a match result through a decisive tackle as a significant highlight in his Kabaddi career. He will complete his BA Defense degree in 2027. Dinesh harbors aspirations of becoming a Sub Inspector, aiming to leverage his Kabaddi skills to shape a successful future. Quiet but determined, Dinesh sees Kabaddi as a path to carve out a promising future for himself, guided by his passion for the sport and fueled by his ambition to succeed.
