N Dharun

Born on December 29, 2003, in Peechampatti, Karur District, Tamil Nadu, Dharun N hails from a humble background, with his father, Nagaraj A, working as a farmer, and his mother, Manimeghalai N, dedicating herself to homemaking. Alongside his elder brother Mukesh Kannan and sister Sneha, Dharun discovered his love for kabaddi at the age of 12. Positioned as a Right Corner Defender, Dharun showcases his prowess on the kabaddi field through his mastery of the Double Thigh Hold, a skill that he has refined over the years. Under the guidance of his coach Bharath, a fellow player at NA Academy, Dharun overcame familial opposition to pursue his passion for kabaddi, training diligently at the PVKM Peechampatti Club ground. Despite his commitments, Dharun remains dedicated to his academic pursuits, currently pursuing a degree in BBA, which he embarked upon in his third year. Outside of kabaddi, Dharun enjoys playing cricket, showcasing his versatility in sports. Dharun draws inspiration from Thyagu, a pro kabaddi player, although he admits there's no particular reason for his admiration. With aspirations of securing a job in the Army and earning a chance to compete in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League, Dharun remains focused on achieving success both on and off the kabaddi mat.
