Navin Murugan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Nellai Kings is Naveen, born on August 23, 2004, in Chettikulam, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. Naveen currently resides in the same district. His father, Murugan, works as a farmer, while his mother, Kala, is a homemaker. He has a younger brother named Soorya and a younger sister named Abhinaya, with Soorya being the one who plays Kabaddi. Naveen began playing Kabaddi at the age of 17, inspired by playing with his friends. His original playing position is at the Left Corner Defender position, where he excels in techniques like the Ankle Hold. Naveen's friend Manikandan used to be his coach, from whom he learned a lot, and he practices in his village. His favorite Kabaddi player is Fazel Athrachalli, known as the Sultan, from Iran, admired for his game and skills. Naveen has represented his district in the Junior State Championship 2024. Outside of Kabaddi, Naveen's favorite sport is cricket. He is currently pursuing his BE in the 3rd year and aspires to become a police officer in the future.
