Kabilan Kandhsamy, born on November 5, 2000, hails from Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, where his father, Kandhsamy, works as a farmer, and his mother, Thamariselvi, manages the household. He has an elder brother, Kalaimugilan, and an elder sister, Kalayarasi, but neither of them plays kabaddi. At the age of 12, Kabilan began playing kabaddi, inspired by his father's passion for the sport and his cousin brother's achievements. He specializes as a Right Cover Defender, known for his expertise in advanced tackles. Under the guidance of coach Rajkumar, Kabilan trains diligently at the village home ground and represents the 7E Sports Club. He admires Abhinesh Natarajan for his self-made success, exceptional skills, and calm demeanor. Kabilan has showcased his talent in various tournaments, including the South Zone University Games in Andhra Pradesh and the All India University Games in Punjab in 2023. Apart from kabaddi, he also excels in athletics at the district level. Currently pursuing an MBA in HR Management, Kabilan's career highlights include scoring 11 tackle points against Samy Academy in a local tournament in 2023. His ultimate aspiration is to play for a government department, combining his love for kabaddi with stable employment.
