Ranjithkumar, born on March 24, 2002, in Padalur, Tamil Nadu, continues to reside in his hometown, where he was raised in a family by his father, Govindharaj, who works as a stonecutter, and homemaker mother named Bhavani. He has an elder sister named Ramya. Ranjithkumar embarked on his kabaddi journey relatively late, starting at the age of 19. Despite his delayed start, he quickly established himself as a versatile player, showcasing his skills as both a Right Raider and a Left Corner in defense. Under the guidance of coaches Mohan and Vetrivel at the Alathankarai Club, he has honed his craft, excelling in techniques such as Stealing Bonus as a Raider and Ankle Hold as a Defender. He draws inspiration from players like Vetrivel, brother from his same village, Pardeep Narwal for his Dubki maneuver and Surender Nada for his impeccable Ankle Hold. Apart from kabaddi, Ranjithkumar enjoys playing cricket and indulges in the innocent joy of childhood games like catch and cook. Despite his relatively short time in the sport, Ranjithkumar has already made significant strides, earning recognition as the Best Raider in an open South Zone match, where he received a gold ring as a token of his achievement. His aspirations extend to playing in the Pro Kabaddi League and representing India, fueled by his passion and dedication to the sport.
