A Athithyan

A Athithyan, born on June 11, 2002, in Thammampatti, Salem, Tamil Nadu, is deeply rooted in his hometown, where he currently resides. His father, K Ammasi, works as a farmer, while his mother, A Malliga, takes care of the household. Athithyan comes from a family of kabaddi enthusiasts, with two elder brothers, Karthi and Ajit, and a younger brother, Arivo, who actively participates in the sport. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 12, Athithyan quickly showcased his versatility as an all-rounder, proficient in both the Right Corner Defender and Right Raider positions. Under the guidance of Coach K Ramesh Kumar at the KR Sports Club in Thammampatti, he has developed his skills, with a particular talent for the Hand Touch technique. Athithyan draws inspiration from players like Naveen Kumar, known for his lightning-fast agility and impeccable jump skill. Apart from kabaddi, Athithyan enjoys playing carrom and actively participates in other sports to stay physically active. Despite his sporting pursuits, Athithyan has completed a Diploma in Physical Education with a specialization in Strength & Conditioning, reflecting his commitment to both academics and sports. His notable career highlight includes representing his university at the 2024 South Zone University competition in Andhra Pradesh, a memorable experience for him. With a clear goal of becoming a Sub-Inspector (SI) in the Police Department, Athithyan's determination and focus shine through. Despite facing linguistic challenges, his jovial nature and clear aspirations make him a standout individual with a bright future ahead.
