Ramesh Selvam

Ramesh, born on July 9, 2000, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, remains dedicated to his family and sport despite his responsibilities. His father, Selvam, works as a laborer, while his mother, Valli, manages their household. Ramesh has an elder brother named Karthik, although neither sibling shares his passion for kabaddi. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 17, Ramesh specializes as a Left Corner Defender, showcasing exceptional skills in Ankle Hold maneuvers. Under the mentorship of Coach Satish Kannan, he hones his abilities at the SFC Club in Madurai. Ramesh draws inspiration from Dharmaraj Cheralathan, admiring his style as they both excel in the same defensive position. Despite his commitment to kabaddi, Ramesh also works as a laborer to support his family financially. This dedication reflects his strong sense of responsibility and determination to overcome challenges. Pursuing a degree in Business Administration (BBA), Ramesh harbors aspirations to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League and secure employment with the Railways.
