Chandru Suresh

Chandru S was born on March 12, 2002, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, into a supportive family. His father, Suresh, serves as a health worker in the corporation, while his mother, Ammani, takes care of their home. He has a younger sister. Starting his Kabaddi journey at the age of 14, Chandru quickly established himself as a versatile player, capable of playing multiple positions including Right Raider, Left Raider, Right Corner Defender, Left Corner Defender, Right Cover Defender, and Left Cover Defender. His exceptional jumping skills set him apart on the field. Under the guidance of coaches John Sathish and Divakar at the Rajaji Sports Club Ground, Chennai, Chandru refined his skills. He draws inspiration from his favorite player, Chandran Ranjith, admiring his unique style and considering him the best in the game. Despite his dedication to Kabaddi, Chandru also enjoys running races and actively participates in other sports. He pursued his education alongside his sporting pursuits, completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sanskrit in 2024. Chandru's talent on the Kabaddi mat earned him recognition as a state participant for his college. He achieved a notable career highlight by outplaying a crucial match, turning the results in favor of his team. Looking ahead, Chandru aspires to become a Sub-Inspector, leveraging the discipline and skills he has acquired through Kabaddi. His determination to seize opportunities and improve his life through the sport reflects his ambitious spirit and dedication to his goals.
