Jeneesh, born on July 14, 1999, originates from Thucklay, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. His father, Johnson, earns his livelihood as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Thangam, is a homemaker. With one younger brother, Abeesh, and one younger sister, Thanisha, Jeneesh didn't initially play kabaddi, but his brother Abeesh is into cricket. At the age of 15, Jeneesh became fascinated with kabaddi after watching school kids play during festivals. Playing as a Left Raider, his best skill is the hand touch. He trains under the guidance of coach Ravi Chandran at the Alathankarai Club. Jeneesh admires Chandran Ranjith for his remarkable skills in bonus points and toe touches. He has represented his district in various tournaments, including the South Zone Inter-University Games in 2023 and the Kanyakumari Senior Championships in 2023, where his team secured the 1st position. Jeneesh aspires to excel in kabaddi and secure a job in the government sector.
