In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Alathankarai Club is Ranjith A. He was born on June 7, 2000, in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there as well. His mother, Ramalakshmi A, works as a coolie, and he has two siblings: an elder brother named Ramesh Kumar and a younger brother named Anand. While neither of his siblings plays Kabaddi, Ranjith developed an interest in the sport during his 7th standard when his friends used to play it. Ranjith primarily plays as a Left Corner Defender, with his best skill being the ankle hold. He is coached by Ravichandran and Damodaran and practices at the AZ Kabaddi Club in Kanyakumari. His favorite Kabaddi player is Surendra Nada, known for his prowess in ankle hold. Ranjith admires Surendra's skill in this aspect of the game. Ranjith has represented his team in various competitions, including the Junior Nationals in 2020, All India University games in 2019 representing MSU University, and the South Zone University representing SRM University in 2023. Apart from Kabaddi, he enjoys playing cricket. Ranjith is currently pursuing a BA in Economics, and his aspiration is to secure a job through sports.
