Abhinandh Subhash

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing Vels University is Abhinandh S, born on March 23, 2004, in Nagarkoil, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Currently residing in Nagarkoil, he comes from a family where his father, Subhash P, works as a contractor, and his mother, Sandhya P, is a housewife. Abhinandh has a younger sister named Abini, who does not share his interest in Kabaddi. His Kabaddi journey began at the age of 15, inspired by his cousin, Sajin Chandrashekar, a prominent PKL Player for Patna Pirates. Admiring Sajin's playing style, discipline, and hard work, Abhinandh aspired to follow in his footsteps. He primarily plays as a Left Cover Defender and specializes in the Dash technique. Under the guidance of coaches Swamiappan and Sajin Chandrashekar, Abhinandh hones his skills at Vels University, Chennai. Throughout his career, Abhinandh has achieved significant milestones, including representing in Senior State tournaments in 2023 and Junior State tournaments in 2022. Notably, he played for Patna Pirates in Season 10 of the PKL. His favorite sport other than Kabaddi is Badminton, showcasing his versatility in sports. Currently pursuing a BSc in Food Technology, he aims to excel in Kabaddi and ensure the well-being of his parents. In 2024, he received the Best Defender Award in the A Grade All India Tournament while playing for Samy Sports Academy against Income Tax. Abhinandh's dedication to Kabaddi and his commitment to his family exemplify his admirable qualities both on and off the field.
