Kunal Kiran Jadhav, born on July 20, 2002, in Bhuinj, Satara, represents the Satara team in the KMP YKS 2024 kabaddi tournament. Currently pursuing his college graduation in Katraj, Maharashtra, Kunal's father, Kiran Jadhav, serves in a job with Maharashtra State Transport, while his mother, Kavita, manages their household. He has an elder sister, Krutika, who does not play kabaddi. Kunal's tryst with kabaddi began at the tender age of 7, inspired by his father's involvement in the sport. Witnessing his father's passion and skill ignited Kunal's interest, prompting him to follow suit. Excelling as an all-rounder, he adeptly maneuvers as a left raider and left corner defender, showcasing a knack for executing precise toe touches on the kabaddi mat. Under the mentorship of coach Avinash Damal at Bhrugurushi Krida Mandal, Bhuinj, Kunal hones his skills and tactics, drawing inspiration from the legendary Anup Kumar. Admiring Anup Kumar's strategic mindset and remarkable gameplay, Kunal aspires to emulate his success in the world of kabaddi. Throughout his kabaddi journey, Kunal has represented his district and state in various tournaments, including the Sub Junior District in Pune and Alibaug, Junior State in Pune, and securing the 3rd position in the Inter Zone University Games in 2023. His recent career highlight includes participating in the Yuva Kabaddi Series, marking another milestone in his sporting career. Outside of kabaddi, Kunal is dedicated to his college education, currently in his third year pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. Looking ahead, he envisions augmenting his academic pursuits with professional training in an AWS course, aiming to secure a job in the IT sector. Additionally, Kunal harbors ambitions of gracing the Pro Kabaddi League arena, where he dreams of showcasing his talent on a grand stage.
