Prathamesh Mane

Prathamesh Bharat Mane, born and raised in Satara, Maharashtra, is a promising kabaddi player representing the Satara team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Born on December 10, 2002, Prathamesh currently resides in Rahitmatpura, Satara, with his family. His father, Bharat, works as a farmer, while his mother, Geeta, manages their household. Prathamesh shares a close bond with his younger sister, Sanika, although she doesn't actively participate in kabaddi. Prathamesh's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 14, spurred by the opportunity to fill in for a missing player during a game with friends. Coming from a background of cricket, Prathamesh quickly found his footing in kabaddi and embraced the sport wholeheartedly, particularly excelling as a dynamic right raider known for his impressive jumping skills. Under the mentorship of coaches Arun Madane and Shivraj Gaikwad at Niv Rahimatpur Gymkhana, Satara, Prathamesh has refined his techniques and strategic acumen. He draws inspiration from legendary kabaddi player Anup Kumar, admiring his calm and intelligent approach to the game, earning him the moniker "Captain Cool." Despite his focus on kabaddi, Prathamesh also values his academic pursuits, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, with aspirations to represent Maharashtra in kabaddi at the state level. One of his career highlights includes a memorable performance in the Inter-Zone University Games in Kolhapur in 2023, where his crucial super raid in the final moments secured victory for his team. Looking ahead, Prathamesh harbors ambitions of making significant contributions to the Maharashtra kabaddi team, aiming to leave a lasting impact on the sport and bring honor to his state.
