Ashish Karne

Ashish Vilas Karne, born on February 15, 2004, originates from Iskal Satara, Maharashtra, where he currently resides. His father, Vilas Karne, is engaged in farming, while his mother, Vanita Vilas Karne, manages their household affairs. Ashish shares his home with his elder sister, Akshata, and younger sister, Ankita, both of whom do not play kabaddi. Ashish's journey in kabaddi commenced during his college years at the age of 16, where he discovered his talent as a right raider. Renowned for his exceptional dubki maneuver, Ashish refines his skills under the guidance of Coach Arun Madane at the Shree Savagiri Sport Cycle. Inspired by the legendary Anup Kumar, he admires Kumar's adeptness in bonus skills, which motivates him to enhance his own gameplay. Despite his dedication to kabaddi, Ashish harbors no interest in other sports, fully dedicating himself to mastering the game. Currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree, Ashish's career highlights include participating in the State Junior Championship held in Thane in 2023, where his team fought valiantly despite facing defeat, leaving an indelible mark on his memory. Looking ahead, Ashish nurtures aspirations of competing in the Pro Kabaddi League, driven by his passion for the sport and his unwavering determination to succeed on the professional stage.
