Omkar Palkar

Omkar Palkar, hailing from Satara, Maharashtra, is a prominent member of the Satara team competing in the KMP YKS 2024 kabaddi tournament. Born on July 2, 2001, Omkar has always called Satara his home and continues to reside there. His father, Makaranad, manages his own shop, while his mother, Sureka, dutifully takes care of their household. Omkar shares his love for kabaddi with his younger sister, Neha, although she doesn't actively participate in the sport. Omkar's journey in kabaddi commenced at the tender age of 10 when he observed his friends engaging in the sport on the local grounds. Inspired by their fervor and the excitement of the game, he enthusiastically joined in, eventually finding his forte as a versatile left-right raider. Known for his expertise in executing bonus points, Omkar has garnered a reputation as the "Bonus Ka Badsha" among his peers, drawing admiration from all quarters. Under the guidance of his coach, Hunamantha, at Shivaji Uday mandal, Omkar has honed his skills and leadership abilities. He holds the distinction of serving as captain during his Sub Junior days, showcasing his natural leadership qualities and dedication to the sport. Beyond kabaddi, Omkar maintains a keen interest in football, actively participating in the sport alongside his kabaddi endeavors. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, he is in the final year of his college education. Looking ahead, Omkar harbors aspirations of donning the Indian Kabaddi team jersey, aiming to represent his country at the highest level of the sport. With his talent, dedication, and determination, Omkar Palkar is poised to leave an indelible mark on the kabaddi arena, both nationally and internationally.
