Pruthviraj Prashant Galande, born on April 2, 2006, hails from Barshi, Solapur, Maharashtra, and currently resides in Katraj, Pune. His father, Prashant, is a farmer, while his mother, Vandana, serves in a government job. Pruthviraj has an elder brother named Anirudh. Discovering his love for kabaddi at the age of 11, Pruthviraj was drawn to the sport after watching it on television and participating in school matches. Primarily positioned as a Left Raider, Pruthviraj excels in executing swift escapes and turning maneuvers, earning him recognition for his agility and strategic play. Under the guidance of coach Ravi Gadhe, Pruthviraj refines his skills at the Azad Krida Mandal in Taklibhan. Inspired by kabaddi luminary Akash Shinde, Pruthviraj finds resonance with Shinde's playing style, particularly due to their similarities in height and preferred position as left raiders. Despite not having siblings who play kabaddi, Pruthviraj's passion for the sport remains unwavering. Pruthviraj's accomplishments include representing his school in various zonal-level competitions, notably securing the 3rd position in the School Games held in Pune in 2023. In 2022, he was awarded the Man of the Match accolade during a league game at Midline Academy. Outside of kabaddi, Pruthviraj enjoys playing volleyball and is currently pursuing his education in the 11th standard. With aspirations to secure a government job through sports while continuing his kabaddi journey, Pruthviraj remains dedicated to achieving success both on and off the field.
