Danish Moyoddin Shaikh, born on June 1, 2003, in Moglai, Dhule, Maharashtra, currently resides in the same area. His father, Moyoddin Shaikh, works as a truck driver, while his mother, Marje B, is a homemaker. Danish has an elder brother named Shoaib Shaikh, who does not share his interest in kabaddi but plays cricket instead. Danish's journey in kabaddi began during his 8th standard when he observed juniors playing the sport in school. Inspired by their enthusiasm, he developed an interest in kabaddi and started playing. As an all-rounder, Danish excels in both the right corner and right raider positions, with his best skill being Bonus points. Although Danish had a coach named Bhatu, who served as his mentor and support system, unfortunately, Bhatu passed away in 2019. Since then, Danish has continued to practice in his ground but hasn't considered anyone else as his coach. He practices at the Hind Kesari Krida Mandal and draws inspiration from his favorite player, Pardeep Narwal, particularly admiring Narwal's Dubki skill. While Danish hasn't had any previous representations in tournaments, the KMP YKS 2024 is his first major tournament experience. Apart from kabaddi, Danish enjoys playing cricket as his favorite sport. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, Danish's career highlights include winning the Best Raider award in a local tournament in 2020 while playing for the Hind Kesari team against Shirpur. Looking ahead, Danish aspires to grow in kabaddi and aims to play in prestigious leagues like the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and represent the Indian national team.
