Nikhil Anil Rathod, born on May 26, 2002, in Shingoli, Dharashiv, Maharashtra, currently resides in Jahagirdarwadi, Dharashiv, Maharashtra. His father, Anil Rathod, works as a farmer, while his mother, Anjana Rathod, manages the household. Nikhil shares a bond with his two younger brothers, Yashwanth and Ajinkya, with the latter also sharing his passion for kabaddi. Inspired by the boys playing kabaddi in his village, Nikhil discovered his interest in the sport at the age of 17. Initially joining as a right cover defender, Nikhil's proficiency lies in executing precise thigh holds, making him an asset to his team's defensive lineup. Under the mentorship of coach Nitin Humbe at Adarsh Vimukti Jati Ashram, Shingoli, Nikhil continues to hone his skills and strategy on the kabaddi mat.
