Sagar Jagdale, born on August 26, 2010, in Devigavhan, Beed, Maharashtra, hails from a farming background, with his father Anil Jagdale and mother Usha Jagdale providing unwavering support. Despite his young age, Sagar displays immense potential in kabaddi, having commenced his journey at the age of 11, inspired by watching his father's passion for the sport. As an All Rounder, Sagar exhibits versatility on the kabaddi mat, specializing in both raiding and defensive maneuvers. His repertoire includes Raiding skills such as the Running Hand Touch and Defensive techniques like the Running Chain and Ankle Hold. Under the mentorship of his father, Anil Jagdale, Sagar hones his skills at the Dhasdada Sports Academy in Ashti, Beed. He draws inspiration from legendary kabaddi player Anup Kumar, particularly admiring Kumar's raiding prowess, including the Running Hand Touch and Bonus strategies. Sagar's talent has earned him recognition, notably securing the 2nd place at the SGFI Maharashtra in 2023. In a standout performance during the final, he contributed significantly with 4 tackle points and 5 raid points against Pune. Although still in his formative years of education, Sagar aspires to represent India in kabaddi and dreams of participating in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League.
