Umesh Garje

Garje Umesh Vishnu, born on February 3, 2003, in Mahasanghvi, Beed, Maharashtra, currently resides in his hometown. Coming from a farming family, Umesh is the son of Vishnu Sarjarao and Taramati Vishnu, and he shares his upbringing with his two elder sisters, Vaishali and Sushma, and elder brother Mahesh. Despite being immersed in rural life, Umesh's journey in kabaddi commenced in 2017 during his school days, igniting his passion for the sport. An adept Left Raider, Umesh has honed his skills over the years, with a particular proficiency in executing successful bonus raids. Under the mentorship of his coach Madhukar Garje, Umesh continues to refine his technique and strategy, aiming to become a formidable force on the kabaddi mat. Inspired by the mastery of kabaddi star Akash Shinde, Umesh admires his favorite player's exceptional skills, which serve as a source of motivation and inspiration in his own journey. Despite his commitment to kabaddi, Umesh maintains a well-rounded approach to sports and enjoys playing cricket as well. His dedication and talent have earned him representations at both the district and state levels, marking significant milestones in his kabaddi career. In addition to his sporting endeavors, Umesh recognizes the importance of education and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Arts (1st year). With aspirations of securing a job in the future, Umesh remains focused on balancing his academic pursuits with his passion for kabaddi. One of Umesh's career highlights includes a memorable tournament performance where he executed a remarkable 6-point raid, showcasing his prowess and potential on the kabaddi mat. Looking ahead, Umesh is determined to continue his pursuit of excellence in kabaddi while also striving to establish a successful professional career.
