Abhishek Tukaram Thodsare, born on September 10, 2004, hails from Tadwala, Osmanabad, Dharashiv, Maharashtra, where he currently resides. Coming from a family of farmers, with his father Tukaram and mother Sunita, Abhishek discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 13. He predominantly operates as a Left Cover Defender on the kabaddi court, utilizing his expertise in executing precise back shoots to tackle opponents effectively. Under the mentorship of coach Nagesh Todkar at the Shorya Kridamandal, Abhishek refines his skills and hones his favorite technique, the double thigh hold. Admiring the agility and bonus-garnering abilities of Aslam Inamdar, Abhishek aspires to emulate his favorite player's playing style and pace. Despite his elder brother, Omkar, not sharing his interest in kabaddi, Abhishek has made significant strides in the sport. His career highlights include a memorable victory in a school game during his 8th standard, showcasing his talent and potential at a young age. Having represented his state in the Under 19 State tournament at Kumargadh, Thane, in 2023, Abhishek harbors ambitions of securing a job in the police force while pursuing his dreams of playing in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). With his unwavering dedication and focus, Abhishek remains poised to leave a lasting impact in the realm of kabaddi, both locally and nationally.
