Sanjaykumar Yogiraj Sathe, born on June 5, 2001, hails from Bhum, Dharashiv District, Maharashtra, where he currently resides. His father, Yogiraj, serves in a job at the Tehsil Office, while his mother, Manjushree, takes care of their household. Sanjaykumar has a younger sister named Soni, although neither she nor any of his siblings share his enthusiasm for kabaddi. Sanjaykumar's journey in kabaddi commenced at the age of 12, with a natural inclination towards the position of Right Cover Defender. Renowned for his mastery of the Single Thigh Hold technique, Sanjaykumar undergoes rigorous training under coaches Amar Supekar, Santosh Shahir, Rupesh Shengde, and Prakash Autade at Shivneri Sport Club, Bhum, Dharashiv. His admiration for kabaddi legend Anup Kumar stems from Kumar's ability to make crucial decisions at pivotal moments, showcasing immense talent and leadership on the field. In his illustrious kabaddi career, Sanjaykumar has achieved significant milestones, including victories in prestigious tournaments such as the Under-17 District Games in 2017, where his team clinched the top position. Another memorable achievement was securing the runner-up position in the Under-17 Division in Latur, also in 2017, followed by a commendable performance at the Under-19 State tournament in Kumargadh in 2018. Beyond kabaddi, Sanjaykumar displays a passion for cricket and volleyball. Currently pursuing a college graduation degree in B.Comm, he is diligently preparing for tests to join the police force under the sports quota. As he envisions his future, Sanjaykumar remains determined to fulfill his aspirations of serving in the police force and eventually starting a family.
