Sandesh Jalindar Deshmukh, born on March 14, 2004, in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, has emerged as a promising kabaddi talent. Despite being born in Ahmednagar, he currently resides in Jamgaon, Ashti Taluka, Beed, and is also undergoing training at the Gujarat SAI (Sports Authority of India) facility to further enhance his skills. Sandesh's father, Jalindar Deshmukh, works as a bus driver, while his mother, Vaishali, is a homemaker. He has a younger sister named Sanika, who does not play kabaddi. Sandesh's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 11, and since then, he has shown exceptional prowess as a Right Corner Defender, specializing in the Chain Tackle technique. Under the guidance of coach Kailash Jagdale at the Dhas Dada Sports Club in Ashti, Sandesh refines his skills and hones his abilities. He draws inspiration from kabaddi player Naveen Kumar, admiring his raiding skills and dedication to fitness. Sandesh has represented his state and school in various prestigious tournaments, including the Under 17 State championship in Mumbai in 2020, where his team secured the bronze medal. He also participated in the Under 17 School Nationals in 2020 in Karnataka and secured the bronze medal at the 3rd Khelo India Games in Assam. Additionally, he has competed in Junior Nationals in Uttarakhand in 2022 and All India University tournaments. Apart from kabaddi, Sandesh enjoys playing cricket and is currently pursuing his college graduation in the field of B.Sc. His career highlights include the memorable achievement of winning the third place at the Under 17 State championship in Mumbai in 2020. Looking ahead, Sandesh aspires to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League and represent the Indian national kabaddi team, aiming to showcase his skills at the highest level of the sport.
