Manthan Mhatre

Manthan Mhatre, born on January 17, 2006, in Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra, is an emerging Kabaddi talent representing Raigad District in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Growing up in Shirki, Pen, Raigad, Manthan is supported by his family, with his father, Anant Mhatre, working as a mechanical engineer, and his mother, Sarika Mhatre, dedicated to homemaking. He shares his journey with his two elder sisters, Dipali and Shweta, with the latter excelling in athletics. Manthan's tryst with Kabaddi commenced in 6th standard, captivated by the strength and spirit of the village team. His passion for the sport blossomed, participating in school games and honing his skills as a Left Corner Defender. Renowned for his adeptness in the ankle hold and dive maneuvers, Manthan's journey is guided by a succession of coaches, including Siddharth Patil, Sameer Mhatre, Pappu Sir, Sumeet Mane, and Amir Dhumal, all contributing to his growth as a player. Inspired by his coach Siddharth Patil, a prominent figure in Raigad district Kabaddi and a National University player, Manthan admires his mentor's skills and achievements. Representing Raigad District in multiple editions, including 2021 and 2023, Manthan's career highlights include attending the National Camp in 2023, a testament to his prowess on the Kabaddi mat. Beyond Kabaddi, Manthan's interests extend to cricket, actively participating in the sport alongside his Kabaddi endeavors. Currently pursuing a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manthan aspires to carve his path in the Pro Kabaddi League while aiming for a rewarding career.
