Kamesh Kishore Kotagkar, born on January 18, 2003, in Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra, is a dedicated Kabaddi player representing Raigad District in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Growing up in Pen, Raigad, Kamesh comes from a supportive family, with his father, Kishore Pandurang Kotegar, involved in the Bazar Committee, and his mother, Aparna Kish ore Kotegar, serving as a devoted housewife. He shares his journey with his elder brother, Jivesh Kotegar, although Jivesh does not play Kabaddi. Kamesh's Kabaddi journey commenced at the age of 10, where he found his calling as a Right Corner Defender. His prowess lies in executing the Running Chain Block technique with precision, a skill honed under the guidance of his coach, Aniket Kotegar, at the Gadab Ground in Pen. Inspired by the speed and skill of Indian Kabaddi player Naveen Kumar, also known as the "Naveen Express," Kamesh aspires to emulate his idol's success. Having represented in various championships, including the Sub Junior State Championships in 2018 and 2019, as well as the State School Games in 2020 and 2021, Kamesh has already marked his presence in the Kabaddi circuit. Notably, he clinched the Best Defender Award in the CM Cagshak Tournament, Raigad, showcasing his defensive prowess and earning recognition for his contributions to the game. Beyond Kabaddi, Kamesh has a fondness for cricket, although he doesn't actively participate in other sports. Currently pursuing a Diploma in Computer Science, Kamesh harbors ambitions of donning the jersey of a Pro Kabaddi League franchise and representing the Indian Kabaddi team, driven by his passion and dedication to the sport.
